Overview
Mahkota Chemotherapy DayCare offers full nursing care and support for both inpatients and outpatients that undergo chemotherapy and anti-immunology treatment in our department.
The Chemotherapy DayCare is equipped with a Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution room set up next to the department for better efficiency and convenience of the workflow. It has a total of 12 recliners for the needs of chemo patients.
The department consists of a team of nursing staff with post-basic in Oncology knowledge.
Our patients are mainly overseen by the four full-time Oncologists, one full-time Haematologist and Physicians.
Services Offered
The Chemotherapy DayCare specialises in cancer management using drugs. This includes prevention, early detection, treatment as well as rehabilitation to ensure that cancer cells are appropriately managed and do not spread out to surrounding tissues, or to other parts of the body.
Before patients undergo any treatment, they will be given adequate counselling on the side effects, dosages and after treatment care. Chemotherapy can help cure, control or ease cancer symptoms for a patient.
