MELAKA, 16 October 2026 – Mahkota Specialist Hospital’s recent rebranding was featured in Sin Chew Daily, highlighting the hospital’s refreshed identity and its next phase of growth in strengthening specialist healthcare services in Melaka.

Effective 15 October 2026, Mahkota Medical Centre is now known as Mahkota Specialist Hospital, with a refreshed brand identity featuring the HMI Spark. The new identity strengthens Mahkota’s connection with HMI Medical’s regional healthcare network while carrying forward more than three decades of healthcare experience and patient trust.

The coverage also highlighted the hospital’s ongoing expansion, including the development of a new hospital block designed to increase capacity and enhance specialist and tertiary care capabilities. Upon completion, the expansion is expected to increase the hospital’s bed capacity from 305 to 430, supporting the growing healthcare needs of both local and international patients.

As part of HMI Medical’s regional network, Mahkota remains focused on strengthening its clinical capabilities, developing medical infrastructure and nurturing healthcare talent to deliver quality, patient-centred care.
