Mahkota Medical Centre’s “Prosperity in Health: A Night Of Unity & Celebration” Celebrates Partnership and Collaboration

MELAKA – In conjunction with its 32nd anniversary, Mahkota Medical Centre recently hosted its “Prosperity in Health: A Night Of Unity & Celebration” appreciation dinner, bringing together members of the medical team, corporate partners, as well as representatives from associations and non-governmental organisations.

The event celebrated the strong partnerships built over the years while also looking ahead to the future of healthcare development.

During the event, Chief Executive Officer Ms Teo Chin Yee said that excellence in healthcare cannot be achieved by a single institution alone. Instead, it is built through the collective efforts of doctors, nurses, specialised medical teams, corporate partners and insurance providers working together.

“Only through strong collaboration and shared commitment can we build a healthcare system that the community can truly trust,” she said.

She noted that over the past year, Mahkota Medical Centre has reached several key milestones in healthcare services and medical innovation. These include the implementation of multidisciplinary, patient-centered care models, as well as International Quality Recognition for receiving dual Clinical Care Program Certification (CCPC) international accreditations for the JCI-CCPC Breast Cancer Centre and the JCI-CCPC Chronic Kidney Disease Centre.

Smart Wards Enhancing Patient Care

Ms Teo also highlighted the hospital’s Smart Wards, where digital systems are integrated directly at the bedside to streamline medical information and enhance patient care, providing a more comprehensive and personalised healthcare experience.

The hospital continues to support community health initiatives through activities such as blood donation drives, community health screenings, public health talks and vaccination programmes.

During the dinner, Ms Teo also shared several upcoming development plans for the hospital, including the establishment of more Centres of Excellence, the construction of an advanced pathology laboratory, and the expansion of health management and rehabilitation facilities.

Plans are also underway to build an elevated pedestrian bridge connecting the hospital directly to the parking area across the road. This will provide safer and more convenient access for patients and visitors. Additional parking spaces within the hospital compound will also be introduced to further enhance the overall service experience.
