A physiotherapist is an allied health care professional dedicated to restore normal health and improve the overall quality of life of individuals with physical disabilities, impaired movements, and functional inabilities through physical assessment and rehabilitation using evidence-based theory and hands-on skills.

Occupational Therapy Service

An Occupational Therapist is another allied health and social care professional who helps people of all ages – babies, children, adults and elderly. They can identify strengths and difficulties you may have in everyday life, such as dressing or getting to the shops and will help you work out practical solutions. An occupational therapist can work with you to identify goals that can help you maintain, regain or improve your independence by using different techniques, changing your environment and using new equipment.

Additionally, an Occupational Therapist also helps people across the lifespan to participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). Common occupational therapy interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.

Speech and Language Therapy Service (By Appointment)

When communicating and swallowing difficulties affect your ability to socialise and participate in daily activities, our Speech and Language Therapist can help you by providing a detailed assessment, diagnosis, and therapy.

Speech and Language Therapist assists in:

  • Articulation and phonological disorder
  • Communication difficulties
  • Eating, feeding and swallowing difficulties
  • Expressive language delay/ disorder
  • Receptive language delay/ disorder
  • Voice disorder

Infants/ Children/ Adults with the conditions stated below will need Speech and Language Therapy:

  • Adult with dysarthria
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Cleft lips and palate
  • Childhood apraxia of speech
  • Child or adult with stuttering problems
  • Down syndrome, ADHD, ASD and etc.
