Dr Ang Eng Lip joined Mahkota Medical Centre as a full-time consultant in 1994 and specialises in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

Internal Medicine is a specialty focusing on the diagnosis and medical treatment of diseases and disorders of internal structures of the body, whereas cardiology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the heart, blood vessels, and the circulation of blood through the body.

As an Invasive Cardiologist, Dr Ang Eng Lip specialises in using diagnostic and therapeutic tools that are inserted directly into the patient's body to treat heart disease. Dr Ang played an important role in setting up the Cardiac Catherisation Laboratory in Mahkota Medical Centre which was launched on 7 January 1995.
