Taking on a preventive position for diseases has been Mahkota Medical Centre’s aim for its customers. As such, the Health Screening Centre was established to provide comprehensive medical examinations that enable early detection of common chronic illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, hypertension and diabetes. There are a total of four core packages available. Should you wish to tailor your health screening requirements, this may be arranged upon consultation with the registered nurse or clinician.
All tests are conducted on an out-patient basis and takes approximately a day to complete, although certain tests may take a little longer.
A clinician will assist in selecting a suitable package for you. Upon the completion of all the tests, the clinician will provide a comprehensive medical report and help in interpreting the test results for you.
A registered nurse is always available at the Centre to assist you with any queries that you may have.
Why Choose Mahkota Medical Centre’s Health Screening Centre?
It is recommended that fasting commences at 10.00 pm, or at least eight hours prior to the test. Please note that fasting is recommended as it will affect the results of the lipid profile and fasting blood sugar tests. Only plain water may be consumed if thirsty. Refreshments will be provided after the test.
All routine morning medication (except anti-hypertensive drugs) should be postponed until after the blood samples have been taken. Ladies who are taking the mammogram are not allowed to use any deodorant or talcum powder.
