Together with our sister hospital, Regency Specialist Hospital, we have successfully received the Malaysia Book of Records for the largest participation in mass Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with more than 10,000 participants. Thank you YB Khoo Poay Tiong who officiated our event on behalf of Chief Minister and all partners/ sponsors/ volunteers/troopers, and participants from various organisation, NGOs, universities and schools from both local and neighbouring states who took part in this memorable and meaningful 25th anniversary event.
2,000 participants from all walks of life gathered at the Area CFR, Pekanbaru for MaRe Famili Fun Run 2019. The proceeds from the sale of the event T-shirts are to be used to fund a TKR procedure for an unprivileged patient. Besides the run, participants enjoyed a 45-minute Zumba session and booths exhibition.
The Sports, Recreation and Welfare Club (SRC) of Mahkota Medical Centre organised a Chinese New Year open house last Friday on 15 February from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Mr Stanley Lam, CEO of the hospital gave the opening speech and amongst the highlights of the event are the traditional yee sang session, lion dance performance and colourful food stalls serving a variety of dishes.
Mahkota Cancer Support Group organized a Chinese New Year gathering on 15 February to provide emotional support and share the festive cheer to those undergoing cancer treatment and care. The event started off with Chinese New Year song presentation and followed by various activities such as sharing sessions and birthday celebration. We held a Symposium on 22 & 23 December with Theptarin Hospital. Theptarin Hospital in Thailand is well known for its model of holistic and integrated Diabetes Centre in South East Asia. Useful and important information was shared with various healthcare professionals involved in the diabetes care continuum and public.

Building Bridges in Cancer Management (14 July) - An Oncology Symposium by Mahkota Medical Centre.
