Physiotherapy

Located in the basement of the hospital building, the physiotherapy department provides privacy to its patients in a cool and quiet environment.

Comprehensive scope of services which includes traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, cardiac rehabilitation, pain management, post-traumatic rehabilitation of orthopaedic conditions, chest physiotherapy for post surgical cases, amongst others.

Patient-care comes first to the physiotherapy team. That is why quality care is extended to those who seek treatment at our department. Patients often enter the department in wheelchairs, but are later able to walk independently after a structured programme of exercises.

Child Birth Education Classes
The MMC's physiotherapy department also caters to the special needs of antenatal women. Currently the only private hospital in Malacca that conducts childbirth education classes, the programme covers an extensive range of topics including:

•  Coping with changes associated with pregnancy
•  Preparing for labour
•  Tips on breast-feeding
•  Bathing the baby
•  Getting back to shape after the pregnancy

Retail Services
Besides treatment and education services, medical items and paraphernalia are also for sale.

We also custom-make splints and body jackets. Pressure garment materials are available too, for burn patients.
