Benefits of exercising regularly

As family and work becomes more and more demanding in life, most men tend to forget to concentrate on their health. As much as mental health is significant in handling daily life decisions, physical health also needs to be paid attention to. Men are often unable to fit regular exercise into their daily schedule and eventually it is ignored and forgotten. It is hardly new that exercise can promote weight loss but even a moderate regular workout can benefit men’s health prominently.

Regular exercise can help boost a good cholesterol number and reduce the risk of high blood pressure in men. As most men get older, the cholesterol and blood pressure levels will gradually increase, leading to risk of heart diseases. Besides keeping a low diet of saturated fat, exercising regularly is the best way for men to avoid having hypertension and excess cholesterol that accumulates on the inner lining of blood vessels, which is the main cause of atherosclerosis and heart attacks, to name a few.

Exercise training also helps maintain the ability of blood vessels to open and constrict according to physical demands. When exercising, the body needs a high volume of oxygen. During the process, the body responds to the demands of oxygen by having the blood vessels flexible enough to widen and narrow as it goes. Men who do not exercise and have unhealthy habits such as smoking will have stiffened vessels that may cause heart attacks and strokes.

Men also need to stay active by exercising for a healthy sex life. Like any other physical activity, regular sex can provide many boosts to the body’s wellbeing. Exercising regularly for men ensures they stay fit and more connected to their partner. Besides that, having an active sex life can lead to a reduced risk of heart disease, which is only possible by men keeping their physical health in check with exercising. By participating in sex one to two times per week, it helps boost the immune system as well. Men also will have less pain usually associated with stress and have an increase of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.
