Mahkota Medical Centre Wins Melaka Tourism Award For The Third Consecutive Year Mahkota Medical Centre was the proud recipient of the Melaka Tourism Award – Best Tourist Attraction 2010/2011 for the third consecutive year. The Melaka Tourism Award is awarded to companies that have contributed towards the Chief Minister’s vision to make Melaka the destination of choice amongst all local and overseas tourists. The award was presented by TYT Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Bin Yaakob, Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Melaka to Ms Sally Tan, General Manager – Patient Services, Mahkota Medical Centre in an awards ceremony in Holiday Inn, Melaka on 18 November 2011. Mahkota Medical Centre sees an average of 50,000 foreign patients a year, from countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar and Vietnam. The hospital has constantly upgraded its facilities to accommodate to the needs of its international patients such as providing free wi-fi in the wards, locker room for patients to put their personal belongings and also shuttle services to and fro the Melaka airport.
