The laboratory is divided into seven sections to serve the needs of our patients. The areas include clinical chemistry, haematology, anatomic pathology, serology, microbiology, blood bank and body fluid examination.

In every section, advanced and sophisticated equipment interface with the laboratory information system (LIS) to provide rapid and accurate laboratory tests for all in and out-patients. Qualified and well-trained staff are employed to ensure the highest quality in the results analysed.

In the anatomic pathology division, a full-time Pathologist provides fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) service, rapid ultra operative frozen section facility besides routine histopathological and cytological services. The laboratory also has a resident full-time consultant Haematologist who provides a full range of services including Bone Marrow Examination, Hb Electrophoresis and Plasmapheresis amongst others.

The laboratory was recently equipped with the Architect ci 8200, an analyzer that delivers a faster turnaround time, with 83 Assays on Board . The analyzer has the ability to generate 1,400 tests per hour.
