Discharge

Doctors will certify the discharge during their ward rounds. For your safety, it is advised that a relative or friend accompany you home.

Kindly allow us to have about two hours to process the final bill and to prepare the medication.

For patients covered by insurance, additional time will be required to process the discharge (approximately two more hours).

Please note that if discharged after 12:00 pm, there will be an additional half day room charge; for any discharge after 6:00 pm, an additional day room charge shall be imposed.

The ward clerks will inform patients when the bill is ready to be settled.

Before you leave, please be sure that you:

  • Collect all of your belongings and valuables
  • Obtain all prescribed medication (if any) from the main Satellite Pharmacy (located on
        the same level as the ward) and ensure that you understand the instructions regarding
        their use.

  • Receive the appointment card from the attending nurse, should there be any necessary
        follow-up.
