Our Doctors
We offer our doctors full support for professional development at Mahkota Medical Centre. Through hospital support, the doctors are able to pursue continuing medical education (CME) and engage in professional exchanges with an international pool of specialists.
Our Community
In playing its corporate citizenship role, Mahkota Medical Centre has over the years, disbursed funds to support various causes in the community—locally and internationally.
- Local
The hospital has disbursed more than RM20,000 to a variety of local charities in 2006 alone. This is a small part that we have played in making a difference in the community. Most importantly, the Malaysian NGOs touch lives in special ways and having a part to play in such missions is what Mahkota Medical Centre stands for.
- International
Southeast Asia was shaken by the devastating news of the Yogyakarta earthquake which claimed more than 3,000 lives and left many more homeless. Mahkota Medical Centre made a RM20,000 contribution towards the quake through Paguyuban Sosial Marga Tionghua Indonesia, a partner of the hospital as well as an active relief group who responded to the disaster.
Recognition in the Community
In its drive to provide medical care beyond borders, the hospital’s successful international programme has seen patients from neighbouring countries such as Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia. In 2005, the hospital was awarded the “Best Tourism Product” by Tourism Malaysia and the Malacca State Government.
